We all want to escape sometimes from all the hustle and bustle brought about by our busy lives. Sometimes we just want to take a week off and go somewhere only we know. The good news is there are actually places around the world that would provide us with the much-needed relaxation and mind-soothing vacation we have been wanting for so long. These five beautiful and stunning gardens are just examples.

Kyoto Gardens in Holland Park
Located in Kensington, this place offers Japanese inspired peace and quiet. Now a quiet zen, the Kyoto Gardens in Holland Park used to be a place where the people in London celebrate their Japan festival way back in the early 1990s. At present, one can marvel at the wonders of roaming peacocks while soothing their minds with the sound of waterfall and tranquil ponds. Once relaxed, you can go back to appreciating the gifts of nature and take a little time watching the school of koi carps enjoying their peaceful home.

Lost Gardens of Heligan
Here, sleeping giants do exist. If you want to take a time off from reality, then this is your go-to place. Hidden in Cornwall, UK, the place offers so much for those who want to escape reality and wander an enchanted world where magic can be real. The thousand-acre spread got its name after many of the area's caretakers lost their lives to World War One. The garden was left for nothing until ordinary people decided to bring back the glory of this 400-year-old magical place.

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
For adventure-seeking individuals who would rather go to unfamiliar places to unwind, this place is for you. The garden is spread across the foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa, and is considered to be one of the nine national botanical gardens. One can surely take their minds of from the world's cruelty just by staring and at the exotic plants and vibrant colours of the flowers. Founded in 1913, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is considered to be the "first botanical garden in the world with an ethos of pure preservation...[w]ith an ancient Baobab tree living in a grand glass-topped conservatory". It is also amazing to note that some plants in this garden date back more than 200 million years.
