A lot of parents have wondered why other parents are so good with travelling with their kids. If you are one of those parents who struggled to silence a child in the middle of a plane fight or to stop the child from crying while having a tour, then this article is for you. Pasquale Rotella, founder of Insomniac, boards the plane at least once a month, mostly with his daughter Rainbow Aurora. Like any other parent travelling,

Rotella has struggled with the many challenges he faces when travelling with kids. Finally, after two and a half years of travelling with his daughter, Rotella has found some ways that worked, and he is sharing it with other parents.

Work with Your Child's Schedule

Work around your child's nap schedules as this triumphs everything. Thus in terms of plane flights, choose the ones that are nearest your child's nap time. If you this, then chances are your child will be fast asleep a few minutes after take-off. Now you wouldn't have a screaming child on the plane. What Essentials to Include in PackingAside from your child's clothing, diapers, and other important necessities, you should not forget to pack essentials such as your child's favourite book, favourite toy, sleeping, buddy and so on. Of course do not forget first aid kit.

How to deal with tantrums

The reason why you include her favourite books and toys every time you travel with your kids is for tantrums. If your kids go on some tantrums, you pull out his or her favourites. You start with the favourite book and then move up to toy if it doesn't work. If it still doesn't work, then that is where technology comes in. This is also the same reason why you should not allow your child to spend too much time watching television at home. It would cause you so much time to calm him or her from a tantrum.

How to Deal with Security

When dealing with security, you have to make sure they know you have a child as it makes things easier. On the other hand, if you can opt out, then do so. You wouldn't want to get into unlikely situations because of your child's stroller or other baby things that might get caught in a security scanner.

Always Have a Plan B, C, D, etc.

It is important that you know the next scheduled flights or connecting flights. It is also important to know how far you have to travel from one place to another. In case things get worse, you should know where to go, what to do, etc. Having alternative plans helps speed up things. You don't have to waste so much time determining what to do next.

Traveling with a child isn't so bad at all. Plus it has its own pros such as cheaper flight rates, depending on your child's age. You also get to build special memories with your child while she or he is young. Lastly, your child will get to be exposed in different cultures and practices, thus allowing him or her to become a world citizen at such a very young age.
