British Teens Terror Charges - After three female teenagers from the UK managed to make their way to Syria to join ISIS, British officials are imposing stricter measures to stop teenagers from joining the terrorist group. Three male teenagers were arrested en route to Syria. They now face terror charges.

Three British teens face terror charges after being held by counter-terrorism authorities. According to initial investigations done, all three males, aged 17 to 19 years old, were en route to Syria to join the Islamic State. Thanks to a tip-off, their plans have been foiled.

Two of the 17-year old boys were accompanied by a 19-year old on their way to Syria. Officials brought back the teenagers to UK on Saturday night. Now, the British teens face terror charges, as they are "arrested on the suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts contrary to section 5 of the Terrorism Act of 2006."

"On Friday, 13 March officers from the CTC were made aware that two 17-year-old boys from north-west London had gone missing and were believed to be travelling to Syria. Inquiries revealed that they had travelled with a third male aged 19," reveals a report by the officers of MET SO15 Counter-Terrorism Unit in a report by the Guardian.

The three male British teens terror charges are quite different from the incident early in February involving three female teenagers. While the male teens were caught midway, the three female teenagers managed to make their way to Syria.

As for the British teens facing terror charges, one other 18-year old British teen has been arrested on grounds of suspicion to join ISIS in Syria. This arrest follows the arrest of the three teenagers in northwest London.

"The operation was pre-planned and intelligence led. There was no immediate threat to public safety," says the counter terrorism officers in a statement to CNN.

Hopefully, this would be the last incidence of British teens terror charges and those making their way to Syria. UK Officials continue to implement strict measures within the country.
