Apple Watch 2015 - After the big Apple reveal for their latest 2015 line of gadgets, a lot of fans are already drooling over the thousand dollar worth watches. While a co-inventor of the famous Swatch watch line think the Apple watch is a threat to their creations, actress Anna Kendrick calls the watch a "douchebag detector." China on the other hand has already released counterfeits of the watch.

The Apple Watch 2015 collection is said to range from $349 to $17,000. Such price depends on the metals and materials from which the watch has been made of. Quite expectedly, the larger models of the watch are worth $50 more than the usual 38mm versions of earlier Apple watches.

According to BBC, there are a total of 38 models for the Apple Watch 2015. Apart from the design that sets each model apart, the apps are basically the same for all watches.

"In the end, similar to a smartphone or a tablet, what will make smartwatches relevant are the apps available. And what will make them appealing is the design and the quality of the hardware that runs those apps," says analyst, Francisco Jeronimo.

While the Apple Watch 2015 has already got Apple fans waiting for the official pre-order on April 10, Swatch makers on the other hand are not too keen on the release date. For one of the co-inventors of Swatch, the Apple watch is a "threat" to the production of the Switzerland made watches.

Swatch may call it a "threat," but for "Pitch Perfect" actress, Kendrick, the Apple Watch 2015 is clearly a "douchebag detector." The actress is obviously not impressed with Apple's latest gadget.

"We should be thanking Apple for launching the $10,000 "apple watch" as the new gold standard in douchebag detection," says Kendrick on her Twitter account. The tweet has garnered more than 18 thousand re-tweets and 30 thousand favorites.

On the other hand, the Apple Watch 2015 might have yet to be released, but China has already made a number of knock-offs. Compared to the original price of $10,000, the Apple watch made in China costs a mere $40 to $80.
