Jessica Chambers' case has attracted the attention of local, state, and national media, but in recent days, her death also sparked the interest of the hacktivist group "Anonymous." The group came out in support of the Jessica Chambers murder case this week, reports The Inquisitr.

Courtland teen Jessica Chambers was found burned alive near her vehicle in rural Mississippi, and the nation's eyes has been stuck on her murder investigation since news broke about her tragic and gruesome burning death.

It was only more than a week ago that Jessica Chambers was seen walking down Herron Road in Panola County with burns over 98 percent of her body. Her car was also burned. However, before she was flown to Memphis, where she died shortly in a hospital, she was able to whisper some last words to firefighters.

Several law enforcement agencies are now involved in the hunt for Jessica Chambers' killer. In addition to the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and the US Marshals Service, the FBI is also assisting on the case, said Panola County Sheriff Dennis Darby on Monday.

Now, since Anonymous has taken interest and support in Jessica Chambers' case, the hacktivist group claims that the police were ill-prepared to handle such high-profile case. The group took it into their own hands to find the killer, hacking into several social media accounts of local known gang members.

Eventually, the group had uncovered some startling new evidence possibly pointing to Jessica Chambers' killer.

According to the Clarion Ledger, some bloggers are also coming forward with theories about the teen's death. Their postings are getting passed around at real quick as well.

Meanwhile, Anonymous claims that Jessica Chambers' death is gang related, an angle which law enforcement officials say has no hard proof.

Anonymous' campaign to capture Jessica Chambers' killer is being sourced to Twitter via the user @0Hour1, labeled as OperationJessicaC.

There are already several tweets, and rhe first tweet regarding Anonymous jumping on the Jessica Chambers' case started December 12. The hackers believe that a "local gang" was responsible for the young girl's untimely death.

Following this claim, things escalated fast. The group has since hacked into several gang members' social media accounts and tweeted a torrent of incriminating photos and conversations via social media. Anonymous is claiming there are links between Jessica Chambers' and the known gang members.

According to the group's investigation, Jessica Chambers has allegedly previously dated at least one member of the "Black Squad" gang. They added that the gas station where Jessica was last seen is a hub for gang activity.

Among the perceptions that their tweets portray are a picture of violence, drugs, and heavy gang activity in the Panola County area. There are photos of gang members inside of the Panola County jail. Drugs and cell phones were also used by the hacktivists to show the corruption that may exist within the police department itself.

Below is a few of the pieces of information uncovered by Anonymous trying to find the truth behind Jessica Chambers' murder:

Other posts by the group also point to a previous relationship in which Jessica Chambers may have been a victim of domestic violence. The social media accounts belonging to the alleged former boyfriend and some of his associates were hacked and their contents showed such.

According to The Inquisitr, The Conservative Treehouse have also done some research in regards to the Jessica Chambers' case. As with Anonymous, they also seem to have come to the same conclusion - that local gangs may be responsible for the dreadful crime.

Anonymous' @0Hour1 account on Twitter is reportedly updated frequently with a list of hacked accounts, tweets, crime scene photos and updates.

Because of Anonymous'conclusions, the gas station worker who spoke to Jessica Chambers the night she was killed have been receiving death threats, he told WREG.

Ali Alsanai, the gas station employee went to the Panola County Sheriff's office Monday and tried to get an order of protection.

"They came to the store, they asked for the surveillance video. I showed them the surveillance video. The next day, they came and asked for the camera, so I gave them the camera system. What else can I do?" he said.

Though there is no proof, Alsanai has been under online speculation that he did not tell the truth about Jessica Chambers and that he might be involved in her death.

Anonymous might be have made some pretty bold assumptions with the Jessica Chambers case, however, the police department has remained completely silent on the gang matter. According to the department, they have followed all leads and so far have come up empty handed.

"All the questions they're beating around on, we've got to rule those things in or out, and we can't go public on that stuff," Darby said."People are curious, we realize that. We're going to answer those questions. And some of them are just ridiculous and trying to make everyone look bad."

The Chambers family has previously claimed that Jessica didn't have a boyfriend or had known anyone who would want to hurt her. However, they have reportedly taken exception on the information posted by Anonymous' Twitter account and several blogs theorizing on her death.

The Justice for Jessica page, run by Chambers' sister Amanda Prince and other family members, posted Sunday night that they do want justice for Jessica, but that people need to be sure that what they were posting was accurate data.

"But we also want the truth and when people start putting stuff out there that is not true or is hear say it starts to take away from the truth. And that is something we don't want!!! So please be patient and as we get information we will let you guys know. we stand behind the Panola County sheriffs department so we need to let them do their job!!" the post reads.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Jay Hale said that the DA's office is not going to comment on the online allegations.

"We have different agencies, the US Marshal Service in particular, along with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Panola County Sheriff's Department monitoring the electronic communications, certainly social media being part of that," he said.

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain has also spoken about the Jessica Chambers case.

"MBI is going to go about its business and do what they're trained to do regardless of what shows up on social media, whether it's the Chambers death investigation or any other investigation," he said. "The investigators are going to base their investigation on what their findings are and not be influenced by outside input, be it social media or anything else."

In the meantime, authorities are reportedly just ignoring the negativity. The investigation into Jessica Chambers' death, they claim, is not at a dead end.

"We have to go with hard evidence. We have to get warrants for certain information, and over the weekend we had to wait on the crime lab, and hopefully we'll have some crime lab results today," said Darby. "The ATF and the FBI and numerous agencies are assisting, and they have the technology to help us too. We have a lot of assistance, and we have to work it all together."

"We've got to concentrate on the investigation itself. There are so many areas you can check. This investigation can go on a while because something new comes up every day," he added.

According to various media reports, Anonymous does not have access to police files, therefore they cannot be certain who has been questioned or what is being done with police's information.

The gang may be involved in the death of Jessica Chambers, but Anonymous has not proven this theory conclusively.

The autopsy of Jessica Chambers is reportedly expected to be available sometime this week. Autopsy results, as well as some test results, are expected to give investigators more to go on in the case, said District Attorney John Champion. Last Saturday, a funeral was held for Chambers in Batesville, Mississippi.
