Denver Kitten Frozen Temperature Immeasurable By Thermometer; Shelter Named Little Kitty ‘Elsa’ [PHOTO]

Denver kitten frozen was "limp, eyes closed, not shivering," according to a local veterinarian. It was an adorable orange tabby kitten that was brought in from the frigid Denver cold.

Dr. Kasey Carter said, "You could sort of feel the cold coming off her." Carter was the one who treated the little kitten at the Denver Dumb Friends League.

Members of the staff brought out their hair dryers so they could warm Denver kitten frozen's fur. They also wrapped the kitty in heating pads and gave her mittens to warm her paws. They also injected her with warm intravenous fluids so that her internal organs will be warmed as well.

They also put a bear hugger over hair, which is a blanket device that is attached to a tube that blows warm air to its interior portion.

The actual preferred temperature for a cat is 101.5. The Denver kitten frozen's temperature did not even register on a thermometer, which measures temperature at 90 and up. The staff attempted to find out the temperature of the kitty upon arriving at the shelter, but the thermometers just did not work on her because she was far too cold.

Megan Rees, the spokesperson for the shelter, shared, "When she came into the shelter, we weren't sure if she was alive." She also noted that the Denver kitten frozen might have been out in temperatures that were below 10 degrees Fahrenheit for several hours.

They named the practically thawed kitty Elsa after the famous Disney character because of the little cat's "fighting, little spirit." Plus, the extreme cold weather that the Denver kitten frozen experienced was perfectly fitting for the animated blockbuster as well.

Thankfully, according to Rees, Elsa is doing much better. She is now in stable condition. Officials of the shelter are hopeful that the Denver kitten frozen will be claimed by her owner soon. If no one comes to claim this cute little kitty anytime soon, they will eventually have to put her up for adoption.
