Tracy Morgan is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the comedian didn't die. Even though he was involved in a terrible car accident that has left him hospitalized, the rumors of his death is nothing more than an Internet death hoax.

Rumors started swirling this week that Tracy Morgan died after the news of him being involved in a deadly car accident. Some have come across a video on social media that says "R.I.P Tracy Morgan Died Few Minutes Ago In Hospital." The video shows photos from the actual crash that Morgan was involved in, but he isn't dead. Those who come across the video are advised to not click play because it likely leads to a scam or a virus.

Morgan isn't dead. No reliable news sources have reported this. However rumors of his death are believable as he was seriously injured after a tractor-trailer crashed into his limo bus on Saturday on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The crash killed Morgan's fellow passenger comedian James McNair, also known as Jimmy Mack. Several others were also injured.

Morgan sustained many injuries including broken ribs, a broken nose and a broken leg. He underwent surgery for his broken leg on Sunday and there were other rumors swirling that he might lost his leg. His family claims these rumors are also false. Morgan is likely to remain in the hospital for several weeks ad he is in critical but stable condition.

Despite the rumors being false, some fans that got word of the report of Morgan's death took to Twitter to mourn and question the death of the actor. Some examples of those tweets include:

"Tracy Morgan died for real?"
'No way, Tracy Morgan couldnt have died. He was such a great actor and comedian. RIP"
"Rip Tracy Morgan another great comedian lost! My condolences to the family and friends!"
"Can't believe Tracy Morgan died smh Rip"
