MUST WATCH: American Anchor Resigns on Air, Protesting Russian Funded News Coverage

Mar 05, 2014 07:17 PM EST

It's been a bad week for the Kremlin-funded news station RT, as now two reporters have resigned on air due to unethical coverage of Russian's occupation of Crimea.

In a broadcast Monday night, an American anchor named Abby Martin, condemned Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s saying that “what Russia did is wrong.”

Additionally, Liz Wahl resigned Wednesday on air Wednesday night saying, "As a reporter for this network I face many ethical and moral challenges."

Wahl said her grandparents came to America as refugees during the Hungarian revolution.

"And that is why personally I can not be part of a network funded by the Russian government that white-washes the actions of Putin," Wahl stated on air with a somber tone. "I'm proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth."
