British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Two Drunk, Unruly Women

A British Airways flight had to make an emergency landing because two drunk women were being unruly and tried to storm the cockpit.

Two intoxicated women, aged 50 and 43, were causing a disruption on board the flight from Gatwick to Tunisia. They cursed in front of children and refused to return to their seats.  

However the last straw was when the women tried to storm the cockpit and one  passenger said they even threatened a flight attendant, saying hey would track her down and kill her family.

"'They decided they were going to meet the captain and marched towards the cockpit. It was very frightening," a passenger told The Sun.

Another passenger claimed that they even hid in the bathroom of the Boeing 737-400 and started smoking.

The pilot was forced to divert to Lyon in France. Police boarded the flight the arrested the women. They were placed in a jail cell for the night and then send on their way on a return flight.

While they may not face criminal punishment, they'll likely be banned from flying on British Airways in the future.

"'Monday's BA2664 service from Gatwick to Tunis was diverted to Lyon following the continued disruptive behaviour of two female passengers," a British Airways spokesman told the Daily Mail. "Our customers and flying crew deserve a safe and enjoyable flight experience. We do not tolerate any disruptive behaviour on board our flights."

This isn't the first time passengers caused a drunken disruption on a flight.

In September, a businessman was so drunk that he started handing out cash to passengers on his plane and later ate his cell phone sim card.

Also in September, a drunk male model was arrested after he tried harassed passengers on a United Airlines flight and even tried to make a woman kiss him.
