'Eagles Of Death Metal' HBO Documentary On 2015 Paris Bataclan Attack; Band Recounts 'Horror And Healing'

The Paris terrorist attack killed 89 people during the Eagles Of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan last November 13, 2015. In an upcoming HBO documentary, the band recounts the "horror and healing" brought by the fateful event. 

As reported by Rolling Stone, the film, Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends), is directed by Colin Hanks. It features original music from Queens Of The Stone Age collaborator, Alain Johannes. The film illustrates the band's experience before and after the Paris attacks, while taking a close look between singer Jesse Hughes and drummer Josh Homme's relationship, who have been friends since childhood according To Entertainment Weekly. Colin Hanks has been friends with the band since the 2015 documentary, All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records was filmed. Hanks' goal for the film was to "document the band and their fans to try and make something positive from something truly unfathomable," HBO said in a statement.

On their attempt to heal, they returned to perform in Paris on February 16, 2016. U2's Bono and The Edge invited them to in the concert, will also appear on the documentary.
