Alligator Golf Course New Orleans - The rather shocking incident during the 2013 Zurich Classic of New Orleans recently happened once again. This time, the reptile was spotted at a golf course at the Myakka Pines Golf Club in Englewood, on Florida's west coast.

According to Business Insider, an alligator was photographed lounging at a golf course in Florida this week, and the pictures instantly became viral when it landed on Facebook.

The reptile was said to be 12 to 13 feet long and it was spotted by a golfer last Friday. And though the golfer has a photograph to prove it, many were quick to slam it as hoax, claiming that it was doctored.

However, on Wednesday, the club's general manager, Mickie Zada, claimed that the chances of the photo being doctored is nearly impossible saying, "This gentleman is well into his 80s. He wouldn't even know Photoshop."

More photos of the gator in the golf course surfaced online since news about it broke. Sources said the beast was traversing from pond to pond while stopping occasionally to sun itself, Bleacher Report has learned.

Despite the risk the presence of the alligator in the golf course entails, a woman's tournament went on as planned, with Zada saying, "If we stopped playing because of alligators, we'd never have golfers."

Moreover, no records on attacks against humans have been documented at the said golf course for 37 years now. Florida wildlife authorities said that the reason for this is the strict policy against feeding the reptiles.

Since the photo appeared on Facebook, it has reached over 200,000 views as of Tuesday.

In 2013, an alligator made a rare appearance at a New Orleans golf course amid a tournament. Hence, players that time had to contend with the dangerous animal aside from their fellow human competitors.
