"The Walking Dead" season 8 is still months away from premiering but the series is already about to begin its filming, according to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the main villain Negan. The actor also teased that his character Negan and Norman Reedus's Daryl might die in the upcoming season.

According to a report from ComicBook, Morgan revealed during the Walker Stalker Convention in San Francisco, California that filming for season 8 begins in ten days. Morgan's panel was held on the 15th of April, which means production will start on Tuesday, April 25.

Morgan also teased that there's a possibility that his character will die in "The Walking Dead" season 8, as well as Daryl. However, he has yet to see the script so Negan and Daryl Dixon dying in season 8 is yet to be confirmed.

Speaking of the script, the report said a writer's strike will provide some problems for the production of season 8. This could possibly delay "The Walking Dead" season 8, especially if the Writers Guild is not satisfied.

Season 8 of the hit series will finally see the war between Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes and Morgan's Negan being carried out. As to what will happen in the war remains to be seen, though if Morgan's teaser becomes true, fans will get to see Rick and his team prevail against the Saviors but at the cost of one of their main comrades in Daryl.

The season 7 finale saw the return of Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) in a flashback scene and this had fans speculating that Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) could also make his return, according to Digital Spy. The series showrunner Scott Gimple said it's a possibility for the popular character to make an appearance, which would likely be a delight to fans.

For now, fans will have to wait until October when "The Walking Dead" season 8 premieres. But they would be delighted to know filming for the season will commence real soon. Check out the video below for the ending scene of "The Walking Dead" season 7.
