Prince William is currently the talk of the media after footage of him and his buddies emerged in several tabloids. The Duke of Cambridge was filmed singing and dancing at a nightclub with his friends during a weekend skiing trip. The group includes James Meade, Guy Pelly, and Tom Van Straubenzee.

As per Vanity Fair, he was called "throne idle" by the British media because he went to a trip with his friends and skipped the Commonwealth Day service. The group went to the famous Farinet nightclub in Verbier to have fun. The heir apparent was caught on camera with his hand on the waist of an unidentified woman.

During lunch, the group opted to have wines and liquor while a 24-year-old Australian model named Sophie Taylor who works at the Farinet joined them. Another lady named Rosie Peate, whom they met during the trip, also joined them. Later, the two women joined them to another posh bar where they continued drinking.

While the Prince was enjoying with his buddies, the Royal Family attended the Commonwealth Day service. It was an important event for the palace and Kate Middleton's husband skipping it did not escape the press. What added to the controversy was the footage taken at the nightclub.

Kate Middleton's reaction is yet to be known as she stayed at home with her children while her husband was away. It is noted that Prince William loves to party with his friends when he was still single.

Last Friday, the royal couple traveled to Paris for a state visit. But news about the visit was overshadowed by reports about the ski trip. Prince William, who gave up his job as an air ambulance pilot to focus on his royal duties, carried out only 13 royal engagements. His frail grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II has carried out 24 days of royal duties.

E! News reported that Prince William experienced an irony of life. During a dinner at the British Embassy, the royal couple was treated by a group of children singing the song "Happy" which was the same song he danced to at Verbier. Unfortunately for the prince, the innocent weekend with the boys turned out to be very controversial.
