Queen Elizabeth II's retirement is happening soon. The longest reigning monarch has turned 90 years old. It is time to delegate her queenly duties to the younger members of the Royal Family. She has started relinquishing tasks late last year.

Recently, Her Majesty transferred the patronage of a children's center that she has been heading since 1967. She has chosen Kate Middleton to take over the patronage of Action for Children.

The senior executive of the center which was known as National Children's Home before was elated to know that the Duchess of Cambridge is now their new patron. Sir Tony Hawkhead said that his organization is looking forward to long years of working with the Palace.

Aside from the Children's center, Kate Middleton also assumed the patronage of All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) Wimbledon. The Princess loves sports so presumably, she will be enthusiastic with the new royal assignment.

According to Hello! Magazine, Kate Middleton's appointment was announced following the Queen's decision to delegate other duties to the Kensington Palace residents.

Kate Middleton visited two children's centers lately and she had a grand time with the kids and the employees. The mother of two has a big heart for children because of her own children. It can be recalled that the Duchess has transferred to the Palace from their country home in Norfolk. It is purposely to assist her Prince George and Princess Charlotte's schooling according to Us Weekly.

Prince William and the Princess will be staying most of the time in London now that royal duties have been assigned to them. The future king is next in line to his father Prince Charles. Prince George is the heir to the throne after his father.

Queen Elizabeth II's retirement is inevitable. But Her Royal Majesty has a very qualified successor to her many organizations.
