"Suits" season 6 finale just ended a week ago but fans are already clamoring for news on what will happen in the next season. Another speculation is whether the return of Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) in the season finale means she is back with the team.

The Hollywood Reporter recaps the last episode of season 6, where the storyline of Mike Ross going to jail for fraud was the focus. At the end of "Character and Fitness," he appeared in front of the ethics committee to argue his case of becoming a real lawyer, despite not getting any formal education.

Jessica appears in the episode to convince Anita Gibbs, who earlier vowed that she would never let Mike win, to let Mike be a lawyer. She presented some dirt on Gibbs which made the latter change her mind. Gina Torres' character was originally supposed to be killed off when she expressed her desire to leave the show, but now it seems that she is getting a spinoff instead.

Celebeat reports that Aaron Korsh, who created the "Suits" series, is in the process of developing and brainstorming some ideas for a spinoff starring Jessica Pearson. Earlier reports indicate that it was Torres who presented an idea to the studio, and they seemed really interested in it.

Korsh also talks about what may be in store for season 7 of the series. He says it would be an exciting season as it would be a new chapter in Mike's life. Since he is now out of prison and accepted as a lawyer, there is no longer any deception coming in his part. He will need to adjust again since he spent time in prison.

Adams, the actor playing Ross, said that he was not even sure what would happen to his character since the scripts were given late. But he has said that he is also excited for what is to come in "Suits" season 7.
