Masashi Kudo, a director, and designer best known for his work in the "Bleach" anime, said that there are still parts of the "Bleach" manga, which ended in 2016, that hasn't been made into an anime. The studio that made the anime doesn't have new plans for the series, though.

In a conversation with Asia Pacific Arts during the Pacific Media Expo 2016, last November 11 - 13, 2016, Kudo talked briefly about the "Bleach" anime. He said that, though the manga has ended, there are still parts of it that can be made into an anime.

He adds that he talks to anime staff a lot about the things in the manga that they can do later on. He didn't say anything about it during the course of the interview, though.

Megan Peters of ComicBook reported that it's not new for iconic but already old anime to be resurrected. "Dragon Ball" came out with a new anime in 2015, while "Naruto" is coming out with a spinoff anime.

As for Bleach, Peters adds that fans have been asking for an overhaul after the anime series was unable to finish. The anime series of "Bleach" ended after the Fullbringer Arc.

But Kudo's comments ignited hope for the fans of the hit anime series. However, Peters said that Kudo tweeted that for the moment Studio Pierrot doesn't have any new plans in developing a new anime.

He did mention in the tweet that there could be a day when the studio would decide to make a new one. Peters said that it is possible, especially if there have already been backend conversations happening.

But it likely won't be in the near future, as Peters said the studio will have a hard time bringing in some of the people who originally worked on the series. Most notable is director Noriyuki Abe, who has been tasked to direct the "Naruto" spinoff. Check out the top 10 fights in the "Bleach" anime series.
