In the latest episode of "Lucifer," the viewers were left with Chloe suffering from the poison that Professor Carlisle cooked up. The next episode of the show is also the winter finale, and it will feature Lucifer doing everything he can, including going back to Hell, to make sure that Chloe will live.

To recap the latest events in "Lucifer," Chloe has decided to become impulsive and kissed Lucifer, despite him listing down all the things that made him not worthy of being with her. They are deciding what to do with their relationship, but if takes a back seat with the news of a student's death due to poisoning in Malibu State.

The killer turns out to be Dr. Jason Carlisle, who is doing an experiment on moral dilemma. Carlisle became infamous when he opted to save his dissertation instead of someone's life. He is now posing the same challenge to some people, by making them choose to hurt themselves or allow someone to die from being poisoned.

The episode ended with Carlisle killing himself. And just when Lucifer and Chloe are starting to get real, the former receives news that it was his father who orchestrated everything in order to ensure that Chloe would be in Lucifer's life. When he gets to Chloe's house to talk to her, he finds her nose bleeding, a telltale sign that she has been poisoned.

According to Flickering Myth, the winter finale of "Lucifer", with a title "A Good Day to Die," has the titular character scrambling to find the antidote to the poison. He will apparently travel to Hell to look for Carlisle and get the antidote, as it has been discovered that every antidote is different, depending on who received the poison. Showbiz Junkies reports that Mom will also go to Hell to get Lucifer back, but he is still distrustful of his parents.
