Fans and players who are thinking of purchasing Nintendo's latest console, the Nintendo Switch, will be disappointed to know that "Resident Evil 7" won't be coming to the console. This marks another game that won't be available to Switch, showing that Nintendo is having difficulties getting third-party support.

According to Express Online, they talked to game producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi about the game coming to the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, though, the game won't be coming to the console at the moment.

"I'm looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself," he said. "But we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch."

Kawata, though, seemed to like the new console, saying it's "a very unique piece of hardware." Dalton Cooper of GameRant said that this optimistic comment about the console hints of a possibility that Capcom will port the game to the Switch later on. He said they are probably waiting to see how the Switch performs, considering that the sales of the Nintendo Wii U disappointed.

He adds, though, that this waits and see approach is not good to Nintendo's promise of a strong third-party support for their latest console. He said that the lack of third-party support was what plagued the sales of the Wii U.

And so far, things aren't looking good for the console, as Cooper said, "Resident Evil 7" is not the only game to skip being available on the Switch. "Mass Effect: Andromeda," "Borderlands 3," and many more games have already said they have no current plans of being available on Nintendo's latest console.

The "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" is set to come out on January 24 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players will also have the option of availing a season pass, which offers an additional story episode, once the game launches. Check out the latest trailer video for "Resident Evil 7."
