Following Angelina Jolie's filing for divorce from Allied star Brad Pitt last September, buzz has been going around for the newly single Pitt. Another celebrity seems to be eyeing Pitt, and it's none other than pop diva sensation Britney Spears.

During a recent interview on Australia's Today Show, she was quizzed on the topic "childhood crushes" on the Question Roulette segment.

Music News says that she admitted she had always had the hots for Brad and even went on to say. "He's single now!"

Spears' obsession with Brad Pitt is not a recent finding. In 2003, it was revealed that she had a picture she took with the 52-year old actor right on her bedside table. Although she told newswoman Diane Sawyer, "I'm embarrassed. That's my little thing!", she has always been open about her biggest celebrity crush.

Back in 2005, when Jennifer Aniston left Brad Pitt for cheating on her with Angelina Jolie, Pitt's current (but not for long) wife, Spears also commented on his status of being single again.

Having broken-up with then-husband and back-up dancer Kevin Federline in 2007, she again said during their reality show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic", "We found out that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up. So I have a feeling that he's thinking about me... Just playing. He probably wouldn't even look my way. I don't care, 'cause we can dream. We can dream!"

From these events, it seems like Spears is rearing to get her hands on Pitt, but despite her massive crush, she insists that she is happy being single, and is focusing on her kids.

After divorcing Federline in 2007, Spears was engaged to talent agent Jason Trawick, whom she also broke up with. After that, she dated David Lucado and producer Charlie Ebersol.

Currently, Spears has custody of her two kids with Federline, Sean, 10 and Jayden, 9.

Kevin Federline, Britney's ex-husband, also told ET in an interview that, "all I was trying to do was get 50/50 custody. You know, events that unfolded over time, if you want to Google them and go back and look at them, then you'll see why it turned out the way that it did," he said. "But now, none of that matters. Everything is cool. Both of us have moved on, our kids are doing great."
