Marvel Studios has officially made it known to the public the new cast members for the upcoming superhero film - Thor: Ragnarok. The film will include the Australian actress and theatre director - Cate Blanchett, as the Asgardian goddess of death, Hela.

As stated by Coming Soon, Thor: Ragnarok will also include the Independence Day: Resurgence actor - Jeff Goldblum, portraying the eccentric Grandmaster; Tessa Thompson as the classic hero Valkyrie; and the New Zealand actor, Karl Urban, as Skurge.

Adding up to the Thor: Ragnarok crew is the American actor and film producer - Mark Ruffalo, who will reprise his character as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the sequel.

The American film producer Kevin Feige, stated, "The continuation of the epic Thor franchise will be powerful and unique, and with the additions of Cate, Jeff, Tessa, Karl, and Mark to the cast, we have the makings of his most dangerous and heroic adventure yet. The sheer, raw talent each of these actors brings to the screen can't be quantified. Having any one of them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an honor, and having all of them is incredible."

However, Marvel claimed that the new cast of the film will join the returning stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), the Golden Globe winner actor Idris Elba (Heimdall), and the prestigious Hollywood actor -  Anthony Hopkins, as Odin, Ruler of Asgard.

That being said, according to Slashfilm, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress - Jaime Alexander, was not mentioned in Marvel's press release to return as Lady Sif. But the actress took on her Twitter account and posted, "Don't worry ;). https://twitter.com/junsocko/status/733724631702601728."

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by filmmaker Taika Waititi.  Kevin Feige will produce the motion picture, along with executive producers - Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Stan Lee and Thomas M. Hammel.

Thor: Ragnarok is slated to smash up theaters on November 2017.
