The big guns of Stone Village Productions - Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell, collaborated with Lion Forge Comics to unleash a film about the life story of the French legendary wrestler and actor - Andre "The Giant" Roussimoff.

As stated by Variety, Andre the Giant's biopic is based on the book by Brandon M. Easton entitled, "Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven." The graphic novel, a biography of Brandon for the legendary wrestler was originally published on September 2015.

Andre's daughter, Robin Christensen-Roussimoff, has given her blessings to the project and Robin will take a consultant's role for the film.

Christensen-Roussimoff, who portrayed Fezzik  in Rob Reiner's "The Princess Bride," stated, "My father rode the wave of the rise of wrestling in the United States, while in the state of undergoing hardship from the painful health condition of gigantism - there's an Elephant Man story here."

David Steward II, the CEO of Lion Forge, busted out his point of view for the film, Steward said, "As a lifelong wrestling fan, I can say with conviction that no one was bigger than Andre the Giant."

Steward also said, "The presence and charisma of Andre the Giant were so powerful, and people could tell there was much more to him under the surface of his ring persona. It's been an amazing experience telling that story in the book with Robin's help. With all the spectacle, action, and emotion there on the page, a feature film just made perfect sense."

However, Movie Web pointed out that aside the production will look for the right director and writer to bring the Andre the Giant film in the right way, they also have the challenge of who can actually portray him on the big screen. Perhaps the semi-retired professional wrestler, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the only one who can perform the legendary wrestler justice.
