New Jersey cheerleader shot recently involved a teenager who just recently graduated from Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark. According to reports, New Jersey cheerleader shot occurred while the recently-graduated student was walking with her ex-boyfriend Sunday night along the city's West Side Park when both of them were suddenly shot.

At 17 years old, Cheyanne Bond is like any other teenager, full of hope and dreams ready to take on the world. Unfortunately, what happened to her days after graduation from high school shocked the neighbourhood of Newark.

According to the Daily Mail, Bond, the New Jersey cheerleader shot, died Sunday after being shot in the head. It might seem uncommon, but apparently, the case of this New Jersey cheerleader shot is already Newark's third homicide reported in less than 24 hours at the weekend. 

The incident of the New Jersey cheerleader shot reportedly occurred next to a park, and opposite a chain of houses, one of which had security cameras.

Police has recently released the surveillance footage which recorded the moments after the shooting took place. The footage after New Jersey cheerleader shot showed two men walking along the same street near the crime scene. Police are now hopeful that these two men could provide more details about the shooting and the killers. One of the men was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt that has a long-sleeved shirt underneath, brown shorts and hood, while the other man wore blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a cap.

CBS New York reports that Bond, the New Jersey cheerleader shot, was walking down a Newark street with her ex at around 9.45pm. Surprisingly, Bond  and her ex, also 17, were attacked by unidentified men.

Planning to study nursing in college, Bond was reportedly ordered to get on her knees before being she was shot 'execution style', said a relative.

Michael Bond, her uncle, has come out to CBS New York and told the news station that Cheyanne never had a chance. He said, 'They told her to get on her knees and they shot her in the head execution style. She just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.'

After her mother's death 10 years prior to the incident of New Jersey cheerleader shot, Cheyanne reportedly moved in with her guardian and aunt, Samera Newsome. According to Newsome, Cheyanne left the house around 6pm on Sunday and never made it back home.

Newsome told NJ.com that Cheyanne, a girl who she has taken care of for so long was 'an angel and definitely a blessing.' Cheyanne was 'just a normal teenager living her life'.

Meanwhile, reports say that her male friend is still recovering from gunshot wounds in the hospital. Police did no release the identity of the male friend involved during the New Jersey cheerleader shot incident dating that he is a witness.

Cheyanne, the New Jersey cheerleader shot, has been described by her friends at school friends as quiet and hard working people.

According to The Root, Cheyanne was able to post pictures of her high school graduation on Twitter. She said, 'We made it ... so proud of myself.' Not only that, she was also very excited about going to college

The high school principal, Gemar Mills, also described Cheyanne as a 'Good kid. Quiet kid. Fun kid' who was essential to the school's cheer leading team. Mills added, 'She had her friends, she loved to laugh, she loved to be at school,' he said, adding: 'She was quiet. She wasn't a real loud, rowdy type of girl.'

Reports say that Cheyanne's friends who knew her by the nickname Shay, met at the New Jersey cheerleader shot site earlier in the week and left candles and messages of support. 

Meanwhile, Walter Ramey, Cheyanne's father has declined to be interviewed by TV crews. The only thing he said is that he wants his daughter's killer caught.

According to the Daily Mail, the family of New Jersey cheerleader shot have used Cheyanne's college fund to pay for funeral expenses instead.

Rev Thomas Ellis held a vigil for the New Jersey cheerleader shot. Head of the anti-crime group Enough is Enough, Ellis reportedly called for an end to violence. He told to NJ.com, 'When you lose a young person to gun violence, you have to come together. The violence stops when we stop it.'

New Jersey cheerleader shot being the third shooting incident in Newark is alarming.
