David Knipes said on Sunday that Myrtle Beach authorities responded to the shootings which also left five wounded in the popular South Carolina resort city.

28-year-old Jamie Williams of Ladson, 21-year-old Devonte Dantzler and 22-year-old Sandy Gaddis Barnwell, both of Summerville were pronounced dead by Horry County deputy coroner Darris Fowler on Saturday. According to Fowler, all three died from trauma to vital organs due to gunshot wounds sustained during the Myrtle Beach shooting at Bermuda Sands Resort on First Avenue North.

The deadly incident reportedly occurred at the beachfront Bermuda Sands motel. The Myrtle Beach shooting death involved three men while and one person was wounded. Despite the Myrtle Beach shooting death of three people, Knipes said no one has still been arrested.

According to a witness interviewed by CNN affiliate WPDE, one of the victims ran after the shooting but eventually collapsed. A Jamont Samuel told the station, "It was like to the point where he had a lot of blood everywhere and he was just trying to breathe" and he died.

One woman was shot in the chin while a man was hit in the shoulder during one of the other nearby incidents, says reports. Police said two people were wounded, though Knipes said police don't believe the shootings are connected.
