Sgt. Pete Simpson told reporters that when police searched the house for a possible suspect, Officer Sarah Kerwin found broken glass on the floors of the basement and a bathroom. According to Kewin, the feline was also on the floor near the broken glass and that was when cat perches on cop incident began.

Because the resident cat was strolling around on the floor beside the broken glass, Kewin picked up the tabby so it wouldn't step on the glass. Soon afterwards, the cat perches on cop and just maintained her position on Kewin's shoulders for the entirety of the investigation.

According to police, after cat perches on cop and they finished their search, they have found a few items missing but no criminal yet. Though, with the tabby cat perches on cop incident, the Portland Police might have gained a new friend, or partner. The officers eventually left the house but not without a souvenir. They took with them photos of the cat perches on cop with the cop laughing in the process. Of course, as it goes in the internet, the cat perches on cop photos soon went viral after having been posted online.

Cat perches on cop photos may have been welcomed with open arms in the internet community, but it is reportedly too soon to tell if it could top other viral animal photos and videos such as "Grumpy Cat", a bunny eating raspberries and a heroic cat attacking a dog in Bakersfield.
