There are countless amounts of theme parks nationwide. But some parks really make me question how curious people must be to visit venues as unorthodox as the ones I am about to list.

Six flags will always be known to have those extreme coasters, and Disney will always have that beautiful castle that makes every kid and every parent feel that they will never grow old. But, not all parks are as cliche.

Haw Par Villa.

This park is located in Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore. I have a lot of friends tell me about study abroad in Singapore and they had the time of their lives.

But, I don't think they were aware of a theme park that depicts the Chinese perception of Hell. This park, free of admission, introduces their guests to Chinese folklore and mythology.

At first I thought, well that's not weird at all. I love history - it's like one huge gossip story. Haw Par Villa, however, contains 1000+ statues and other things of the sort that illustrate famous Chinese legends with some exaggeration.

The main attraction called Ten Courts of Hell is a gruesome exhibit that shows Hell as Buddhists imagined it. Need some convincing that Heaven is where you want to be? - Ten Courts of Hell will definitely make you think twice when wanting to live on the wild side.

Crocosaurus Cove.

This one, as weird as it may seem, might actually be interesting to those with interests in animals...or reptiles. You can stroke baby crocs, feed the mama crocs, or jump into a death tank!

Death tank - yep, I thought they were crazy too. At Crocosaurus Cove Aquarium, the Cage of Death allows you to be in an enclosed, clear, cylinder-like cage with crocodiles up to 20 feet long!

This is the only croc dive in Australia. As the park increased in ratings, this aquarium now feeds the crocs while you are in the water! SCARY! But cool!

Jeju Island

Okay, this next park really took me by surprise. When I read "Love Land," my girly senses started tingling. Jeju Island, located in South Korea does not exactly speak to those females (such as myself) who loves chic flicks.

Rather, With educational sex films that run throughout the park specifically for newly weds, there are also over 140 sculptures that match the Kama Sutra by position. Ever want to spice up your sex life? Maybe a vacation here could be better than buying the Sutra book.
