In the Akira Project trailer, the fans were able to capture some of the memorable moments from the 'Akira' anime movie and original manga. The movie and manga were all created, written and directed by Katsuhiro Ohtomo. It was in the early 80s that the manga was released. It reportedly ran for eight years until the year 1990.
