Mile-high selfies of flight attendants have taken the internet by storm as of late. The term selfie has been popular over social media since the dawn of well, social media. Now, mile-high selfies of flight attendants is an all too common term as the mile-high crew post pictures of themselves enjoying their life in the skies.

Some may love selfies, and some may hate selfies, but there is no denying and probably no escaping these mile-high selfies of flight attendants currently taking the internet by storm. They are everywhere and quite frankly, not so bad to look at.

Selfies are already part of today's culture, and is now even included in the Oxford Dictionary. Now these mile-high selfies of flight attendants are showing the flight crew getting in on the craze, especially the more attractive ones.

Shawn Kathleen, (not her real name), one of the flight crew taken by the trend of the mile-high selfies of flight attendants said, "Aviation is a very close-knit community. We get each other, because we're living the same lifestyle." Kathleen is a current blogger at "Rants of a Sassy Stew", and she is reportedly in the process of trademarking the phrase #crewlife.

This is because just searching the term #crewlife on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter will bring more photos of the mile-high selfies of flight attendants than you could possibly think of.

Despite this growing trend of mile-high selfies of flight attendants, 18-year veteran flight attendant and author of New York Times bestseller "Cruising Attitude" Heather Poole, is concerned about this new trend. She said, "When I go to my Instagram feed and see [flight attendants] posting pictures in uniforms, I can't believe they do that. It's a big deal. The airlines protect their image, everything is very strict. You could lose your job."

Poole didn't even dare reveal the name of her airlines in fear of getting fired for revealing too much information about their #crewlife.

Though Poole's airline may not allow too much information, or photos in the case of these mile-high selfies of flight attendants, Delta airlines allows their attendants to post selfies, just as long as they are in "uniform compliance" and not doing anything illegal.

According to the Delta handbook: "Our standards are, [you can do it] as long as you [act] in a professional image and [portray] the company in a professional manner." Despite allowing the crew to indulge in mile-high selfies of flight attendants, they however do not allow attendants to post photos with celebrities. Captains reportedly even posted mile-high selfies of their own.

Mile-high selfies of flight attendants may or may not be liked by many, but it is all just in good fun and reportedly means no harm or deviance.
