L'Wren Scott Young's death shocked the world when she was found dead inside her Chelsea apartment on Monday morning. The reason of L'Wren Scott Young's shocking death: suicide. The brunette beauty was discovered dead hanging from a scarf that is tied to a doorknob by her assistant Brittany Penebre at 10am on Monday. Reports say the designer texted Penebre at 8.30am asking her to "come by" the apartment.

New York Daily News' exclusive interview with 57-year-old Lupe Montufar, L'Wren Scott Young's full-time housekeeper from 1993 until 2009, revealed that Scott 'sacrificed a lot' to be with Mick Jagger. Though Montufar wasn't aware of the full details regarding the designer's death, she said Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger was the center of L'Wren Scott Young's world.


Suspicion arose that the 49-year-old's death might have been because of her tumultuous relationship with Jagger. However, the 70-year-old Jagger quickly denied having split with the former model which caused suspicion of her suicide.

Mick Jagger's spokesman even went to describe US reports as "horrible and inaccurate" with regard to linking Jagger with the death. L'Wren Scott Young's shocking death by suicide wasn't because of Sir Mick Jagger. According to him, he didn't break his relationship off with L'Wren Scott Young before she died.
 
He said in a statement, "The story about a split between Mick Jagger and L'Wren Scott is 100 per cent untrue. There is absolutely no basis in fact to this story. It's a horrible and inaccurate piece of gossip during a very tragic time for Mick."

Reasons for speculations on Jagger's being the reason for L'Wren Scott Young's shocking suicide is because of US reports claiming that friends of the designer allegedly told her that Jagger dumped her. L'Wren Scott Young and Mick Jagger had been an item for 13 years. Scott was also known as the woman who "tamed" Jagger.
 
Jagger's spokesman said Sir Mick was "completely shocked and devastated by the news".

In other news, police investigations finding out that the fashion designer's company being millions of pounds in debt may also be the reason for her suicide. Her British-based fashion firm, LS Fashion Ltd, was running at a loss of £3.5 million. They owed £4.6 million to creditors and £1 million is due for payment within a year. L'Wren Scott Young is reportedly "embarrassed" at her company's losses.
 
L'Wren Scott Young cancelled her London Fashion Week show in February due to "production delays". Reports say however that Scott could no longer afford the production.

L'Wren Scott Young's death shocked the world because of its untimely period, and many are grieving for the talented designer.

A British Fashion Council spokesman released a statement, "We are deeply saddened at the news of L'Wren Scott's tragic death.She was an iconic woman who inspired so many, and a designer whose contributions to the fashion industry were both extraordinary and unique. She will leave behind an exceptional legacy, however we are so incredibly proud to have had her in our midst."
