If you happen to live near Australia, and have the time for camping and you don't want the hassle of actual camping, then you can try yourself some urban glamping at Sydney's Taronga Zoo.

Glamp amongst the sounds of lions roaring and elephants trumpeting away in their lairs. The Taronga Zoo in Sydney offers comfortable safari-style tents, together with buffet dinners and sundowners where glampers get to see the city's most expensive view.

The Sydney Taronga Zoo's Roar and Snore program is a surefire way for travellers to enjoy the ultimate camping experience without having to lift a finger.

When you sign up for the program, the experience begins at 6:15 p.m., where you'll encounter Australian animals like kangaroos, koalas and reptiles.

After that, visitors can come have their buffet dinner complete with drinks. For dessert, a two-hour night "safari" is certainly a feast for the eyes.

For the next day's adventure, you must wake up at 6:00 a.m. for animal visits and behind-the-scenes tours of the inner workings of the ancient zoo.

Paul Fahy, senior media relations officer for the Taronga Zoo explains, "These tours aren't always the same, but can include a behind the scenes visit and feed with our giraffes, a behind the scenes tour of our chimpanzee sanctuary, and a private seal show."

What catapulted the Roar and Snore program into stardom was when Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie experienced it for themselves with their kids back in 2013.

Though the zoo hasn't yet confirmed the visit from the family of Hollywood royalty, it just received more mention amongst gossip pages in Asutralia and the United States.

The Roar and Snore experience costs A$288 ($255) per adult, A$184 per child on weekdays, A$320 and A$205 on weekends and public holidays.

If you want to experience it for yourself, you can book at the Australian ticketing site Ticketek.
