The Hyatt Times Square New York has officially opened today as announced by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The newest addition to the Hyatt-branded hotels is the seventh structure to be added in the corporation's Manhattan portfolio.

According to Breaking Travel News, the much talked about Hyatt Times Square New York stands 54 stories high and houses 487 rooms to be exact. It is considered as the considered as the tallest freestanding Hyatt hotel in the United States. It is also considered as the third Hyatt-branded hotel to open this 2013 in Manhattan.

The newly built Hyatt hotel is situated on West 45th Street, just a couple of steps away from Times Square at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Broadway.

It is the perfect destination for holiday shoppers and business travelers, who also want to explore famous Broadway theaters and famous venues that are simply within walking distance such as the Rockefeller Centre, Radio City Music Hall, and the Fifth Avenue shops.

"We are rolling out the red carpet, eager to welcome our first guests and future guests to come," Hyatt Times Square general manager Richard Morgan said. "We have created a chic and modern urban retreat for city explorers in one of New York City's most famous and action-packed neighbourhoods."

Morgan also added, "We are especially delighted to share our local lore and favourite neighbourhood spots so guests can enjoy Hyatt's authentic hospitality as well as enjoy an authentic New York experience."

The Hyatt Times Square New York has 11 spacious rooms per floor, and the building all-in-all features 49 suites.

The hotel's Premier Suite is worth mentioning for having a private terrace with astonishing views of the wide Manhattan cityscape.

Hyatt has also included a 24-hour fitness centre with cardio machines and free weights in its newest hotel.

As of late, there are still amenities and meeting spaces that are yet to be opened come 2014, according to Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
