After a boat accident in Utah one person has died and two are missing reported Fox 13 News. The accident occurred on Lake Powell. Kane County Sheriff's Sgt. Alan Alldredge said in a news release that at around 8:15 p.m. National Park Service dispatchers received reports of the boating accident at buoy 43 near Dangling Rope Marina and that the accident was between a motor boat and a house boat.

Reportedly there was one woman, 57-year-old Marilyn Jackman, who was on the motor boat and killed in the accident. ThAlldredge said one woman riding on the motor boat was killed in the accident.

Jackman's daughter 22-year-old Jessica Jackman and 29-year-old Valerie Rae Bradshaw are still missing and Fox 13 News reported that rescue crews are still searching for the two missing women.

The AP reported that a Utah man. Adrian Jackman, 59, was driving a motorboat on Lake Powell and was distracted by his passengers when he hit a houseboat and the boat flipped over, leaving his wife, Marilyn Jackman dead, his daughter missing and his son's girlfriend, Bradshaw, also missing in the water.

The AP reported that crews were using a robot that had a camera on it to search for the missing women in the water near Dangling Rope Marina.

There were 13 people on the motorboat, many of which were family members, are all ok and none were injured.

"Deputies said the group was headed to Rainbow Bridge - touted as the largest known natural bridge in the world - when the crash happened," reported the AP.

There were six children on the motorboat wearing life jackets. Adrian Jackman and his 11 year old granddaughter were taken to the hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona by helicopter and another person was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. All three were released on Thursday.
