Actress Amanda Bynes went on a Twitter rant on Thursday night, claiming she has an eating disorder and threatening to sue publications for their claims about her mental state.

"I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin," she tweeted. "They repeat what I tweet then add a bad photo."

The statement may have been prompted by something she read about herself online.

"They take pictures anytime I've gained weight then write a fake story," she wrote.

"Skinny's The F--k," she also tweeted on April 2, lending credence to her statement that she has an eating disorder.

"I'm suing certain blogs and magazines saying I have a mental illness!" she threatened, right before posting the eating disorder confessional.

Bynes' Twitter feed has been a mixed bag a vague philosophies and blatantly strange and disturbing statements lately. She claimed to have a redheaded imposter roaming the streets of New York City, wearing the same glasses and with the same cheek piercings, with blond hair showing through a red wig, as well as expressing the desire for Canadian rapper Drake to "murder [her] vagina."

Bynes said she's going to put up photos of everyone writing articles about her, and requests writers use the photographs from her Twitter feed. She states this right after claiming to not read any articles written about her, which will probably make the whole process difficult.

"I don't read articles written about me unless I give an interview for a magazine. They're fake! Don't trust what u read on sites!" she tweeted.

The latest revelation follows a hearing regarding charges of driving with a suspended license that Bynes failed to appear at earlier this week. Her lawyer requested a continuance, which was granted, with a new hearing set for early May.
