Actress Melissa Joan Hart has been named the new spokeswoman for Nutrisystem.

Jumping to fame in the early to mid 90's thanks to her staring role as Clarissa in the Nickelodeon show, "Clarissa explains it all" and the ABC's T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness Its Friday) show "Sabrina The Teenage Witch," in which she played the role of Sabrina,

Hart, now 36, is married to musician Mark Wilkerson and has three kids, but has seen her weight get a little bit out of control after the birth of her third child.

Thanks to Nutrisystem, she has already lost 20lbs of her baby weight and is determined to not only keep it off, but lose a bit more.

"We are thrilled to be helping and working with Melissa," said Keira Krausz, CMO at Nutrisystem, according to webpronews.com. "She mirrors our values and will resonate with our customers as authentic. Moving forward, you'll see us have an appropriate mix of inspiring celebrities and real life customers who have also enjoyed success. We think dieters are savvier than ever and really appreciate someone who - above all else - is relatable."

Those thoughts are reciprocated by the actress who said, according to Yahoo, "I can't wait to start sharing my weight loss success with others. I love working with Nutrisystem. The program is really delivering results for me and I look forward to long term success, staying motivated and helping others do the same."

Besides her children, Hart has stayed active in the entertainment world by first writing a memoir, titled "Melissa Explains It All: Tales from My Abnormally Normal Life," which is scheduled to be published in October 2013 and starring, alongside Joey Lawrence, who also saw his most success in the 90's, in an ABC Family TV series, titled, "Melissa & Joey," whose summer premier will air on Wednesday, May 29th, at 8/7c.
