It is a common practice in today's celebrity world--marrying and then quickly divorcing (look up Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries), but it appears that country-singing superstars, 36-year-old Blake Shelton and 29-year-old Miranda Lambert are in it for the long run.

To dismissed the rumors of their divorce, the couple, that New York Times stamped as "the hottest country music couple since Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, and arguably the genre's equivalent of Beyonce and Jay-Z," took to Twitter.

"Hey @mirandalambert... I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!!" wrote Shelton, who returns as a judge on NBC's "The Voice" March 25. "FOCK!!! [sic]."

In response, his wife said "Oh no!" "Can't wait to read if we make it or not."

The "impeding" divorce is due to a Life & Style magazine reports about an affair between Shelton and a 23-year-old singer. It has "apparently spoiled their 'perfect marriage.'"

The two have been married for about two years, and found it amusing to tweet back and forth while next to each other.

"@blakeshelton why are we tweeting each other when we are literally laying an inch apart?" the "Gunpowder and Lead" singer wrote. "Wait...don't answer that.....:) #keepitclean [sic]."

According to the couple, as reported by au.ibtimes.com, "the truth as they said it is that they are very much together still. Apart from that, their singles remain on the Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Shelton's "Sure Be Cool If You Did" is at the No. 1 spot while his wife's track "Mama's Broken Heart" is at No. 2."

Idigitaltimes.com states "this is not the first time that the country singers have had to take to Twitter to address their personal lives. In November 2012, the hilarious couple pulled off a similar stunt when the same magazine reported that Lambert was pregnant.

"Wow! I just read the headline! 'We are having a baby' yay! Blake Shelton, we're getting a new puppy? [sic]" Lambert tweeted at the time.
