Fantasy Faire is one of the newest additions to Fantasyland at Disneyland. The story book village square opened to the public on March 12.

"Enter a picturesque storybook village square where you may meet Disney friends from such timeless tales as The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled and Beauty and the Beast," says Disneyland's website.

ABC News reported that the new Fantasy Faire is located on the west side of Central Plaza inside the park and highlights of the square include a sculpture inspired by Rapunzel called Tangled Tower. Rapunzel's hair comes to life at night with lights that twinkle.

"I hope when guests walk into Fantasy Faire they'll be amazed by the amount of detail we put into it," said Michel Den Dulk, creative director, Fantasy Faire, Walt Disney Imagineering said to ABC News. "There are really nice details like Clopin and Figaro and the Tangled Tower, and I think our guests will feel that this is a great new location at Disneyland."

There is also a Royal Hall which is where visitors can meet up with their favorite Disney Princesses. The Royal Theatre has two shows: "Beauty and the Beast" and "Tangled"

"Between Royal Theatre and Royal Hall is Fairy Tale Treasures (gift shop) where guests can buy the costumes and accessories seen on their favorite Disney royalty at the attraction," reported ABC News.

Den Dulk wrote on the Disney Parks Blog, "I was inspired by several of our classic fairy tale films like 'Cinderella' and 'Sleeping Beauty,' where woodland creatures, critters and birds interact with humans to help make clothes or help dress someone. For those critters and creatures, our human valuables, such as gold, diamonds, crowns, etc., probably don't mean much, but a beautiful shiny acorn on the other hand, does. So we tied in the theme of a squirrel adoring the acorn as a treasure, which is something that was fun to create and also ended up being an underlying motif in the shop."
