Princess Cruises is offering an extravagant $3,000 spa package on its cruises. USA Today reported that The Royal Indulgence was announced on Tuesday at the Cruise Ship Miami conference. The spa package will debut in June and the price is $3,000 for four individuals.
The package includes unlimited spa treatments, gourmet food and drinks, and all-day access to a private cabana.
The spa treatment will be available on the Royal Princess which is currently under construction in Italy. USA Today reported it will be about 20 percent larger than previous Princess ships.
At the Cruise Shipping Miami conference, Princess unveiled a "20 things you don't know about Royal Princess." Here they released information about free on-demand in-cabin programming and the largest gelato selection at sea, all homemade, reported Cruise Critic.
The Royal Princess will also have a glass-enclosed walkway over the ocean called the SeaWalk,, and the largest outdoor movie screen at sea as well as the largest complimentary pizza restaurant at sea.
"The largest collection of Super Tuscan wines at sea and the largest free pizza restaurant at sea. Sabatini's, the line's signature Italian venue, will offer more than 20 choices for Super Tuscan wines, while Alfredo's Pizzeria will seat as many as 121 passengers for a menu that includes pizza, calzones, flatbread and baked pasta," reported Cruise Crity.
The ship will feature a "tea tower" where a tea sommelier with feature 250 different tea blends. The sommelier will also host a Royal Afternoon Tea Experience on board and tea tasting events.
Cruise Critic reported that they have also added Whiskey Flights to their menu at Wheelhouse Bar that will allow passengers to sample whiskey. They've also extended their Daily Pub lunch at the bar that will include fee-free lunches such as the ploughman's platter and fish n' chips.
On top of that there will be mobile access to the ships Internet and passengers can utilize it to check a number of features including port news, entertainment options on board and weather.
