When it comes to supercars, the king of the mountain, in terms of speed (267mph: 0-60 in 2.4 secs) and price ($2.4M) is Bugatti, and its Veyron Super Sport, but the people at Lamborghini might have the answer to dethrone the "rat-like" car.

For a company whose Aventador ($500,000 base) sits ninth on the list of the Fastest Cars in the World (220 mph: 0-60 in 2.9 secs), the new Venenos (based mostly on the Aventador's design), which was unveiled on Tuesday, at the Geneva Motor Show, will have 750-horsepower.

For those who can afford a car at this price and are interested, Los Angeles Times says "sorry."

Only three copies of the Veneno will be made and all are spoken for. Two of the buyers live in the U.S., one of whom happens to own a Lamborghini dealership in Long Island.

Los Angeles Times reports that the street-legal race car will do zero-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top-speed of 220 mph. It has a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine, a seven-speed automated manual transmission, and permanent all-wheel-drive.

It also comes equipped with 20-inch wheels in the front and 21-inch wheels at the back, while the rims themselves have a carbon fiber ring designed to work like a turbine to provide additional cooling to the carbon-ceramic brakes, according to Los Angeles Times.

This is the downside--though the look is amazing, these numbers aren't close to the Bugatti and for the price-tag, if one isn't a Lamborghini loyalist, one could easily turn to the Hennessay Venom Gt, which is much faster (260 mph: 0-60 in 2.5 secs) and half the price ($1M base).

Other cheaper and quicker options:

Koenigsegg Agera R (260 mph: 0-60 in 2.9 secs).

SSC Ultimate Aero (257mph: 0-60 in 2.7 secs) or the successor, Tuatura (still not priced or tested).
