Read on to learn which Disney vacations shouldn't be missed and get excited to start planning your magical vacation.

1. California's Disneyland

California's Disneyland is where the magic of Disney vacations all began when it opened its doors back in 1955. Then visitors could take advantage of 18 rides and attractions. Now visitors can delight in 51 different attractions.

Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California and its millions of visitors have left wearing some 84 million pairs of Mickey ears.

When you visit Disneyland, you'll want to leave enough time to see both Disneyland Park and the Disney California Adventure Park. Disneyland offers its visitors the option to take advantage of their visit using daily passes, annual passes, or a vacation package.

For accommodations, there are three resort hotels on-site and a whole host of neighboring hotels to choose from for your stay.

If you're a Star Wars fan, the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge should be on your must-visit list. Thrills seekers will want to hit up the Millenium Falcon, Smuggler's Run experience.

Your youngest travelers will delight in a few rounds on Jessie's Critter Carousel where they can live out their wild west experience.

2. Aulani Disney Resort & Spa

While this might not be the same kind of Disney experience as visiting one of the parks, the magic and comfort of this resort will delight you just the same.

Aulani in Oahu seeks to entertain the families and visitors without children with the same wonder and delight that makes all Disney resorts must see vacations.

The resort centers around two towers that help to create the pool area. The volcano-themed pool has guests of all ages delighted. Pool guests can enjoy:

  • Waterslides

  • A lazy river

  • An interactive aquatic zone

  • Snorkeling aquarium

  • Hot tubs

If you are hoping for some poolside relaxation, you can pull up a chair at the adults-only pool.

The resort features a kids club and on-site entertainment. Of course, it wouldn't be a Disney experience without meeting up with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and some of their friends dressed in their best Hawaiian attire and ready to pose for some photos with you.

3. Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is, well, a whole world of adventure and magic. Plan for plenty of time to visit the extensive park. Walt Disney World covers an area larger than the city of San Francisco.

Walk Disney World encompasses several parks, resorts, and hotel sites including:

  • Magic Kingdom

  • Epcot

  • Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • Disney's Animal Kingdom

  • Disney's Blizzard Beach

  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

These locations offer a variety of different Disney vacation experiences.

As part of the expansive Disney World resort in Orlando, Florida, visitors can stay in one of the many resort accommodations. Many of these are thematic around their location in the park.

For example, near Disney's Magic Kingdom is the Wilderness Lodge. Here you can experience true Disney style wilderness with all the amenities and entertainment. You can check out Copper Creek resale options and stay at one of the Copper Creek Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge all with convenient transportation to any of the Disney parks and attractions.

4. Disneyland Paris

What's better than the magic of Disneyland or the allure of Paris? When you let Disney combine the two into one magical, beautiful vacation spot, Disneyland Paris.

Disney originally hoped to choose a warm balmy location in Europe similar to its California and Florida counterparts. Yet, the allure of Paris and its high population density won the Disney franchise over.

Now visitors can see Disney in Paris continue to grow since its 1992 opening. Visitors can see:

  • Disneyland Park

  • Walt Disney Studios

  • Many resort hotels

  • An entertainment complex

  • Golf course

There are a variety of shopping and restaurant options on-site, so you can grab your Parisian Mickey ears while visiting.

It should be noted that because of its location, Disneyland Paris has some offseason times because of the cold. Winter hours are reduced and you might enjoy the experience more during a warmer season.

5. Disney Cruise

While this is not a traditional Disney vacation where you visit a park and see attractions, a Disney cruise is still a whole Disney experience. Disney took what they know about creating magical vacations and put it all together on several magical cruise ships.

Disney cruises are available around the world and can be planned in conjunction with visits to one of their parks in the US, Europe, or Asia. Disney cruises even feature a stop on their own private island for a day of fun on their world-class beaches.
