There are so many things to do in Brisbane to entertain visitors of all ages. Whether you're visiting the Queensland capital on your own, with friends, with a partner, or with the family, there are Brisbane activities to suit you.

Streets Beach

One thing you might not expect to find smack bang in the middle of the city is a beach, but that's what Brisbane has. Streets Beach is Australia's only inner-city, man-made beach, but it's just as spectacular. You can still walk along the pristine sand and splash about in the cool water, all with views of the gorgeous Brisbane skyline. Right by the beach, you'll find an interactive water play park for children for fun for the whole family. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards, just like natural beaches so you can swim about, worry-free.

Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art

The Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is home to an impressive collection of contemporary art from Australia, Asia, and the Pacific. Originally two galleries, the Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern art have combined so you can enjoy a plethora of contemporary art at one location. If you're with children, the Children's Art Centre has interactive artworks for children and families. If you're travelling without children, you can wander through the galleries at your leisure and take in the stunning artworks and enjoy a bite to eat at the outdoor cafes or restaurants.

Old Petrie Town

A little out of the CBD is Old Petrie Town, a place where history has been preserved. The town is full of historic buildings and walking through it feels like walking through pre-1930s Australia. If that isn't enough history for you, check out the four museums within the town. Old Petrie Town is home to frequent markets, just check if they're on before you head out. If you can't make it to the markets, there's still plenty of boutique shopping to be done.

Daisy Hill Koala Centre

Koalas are one of Australia's most adorable animals and at the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, you can get up close and personal with them. The centre gives a home to koalas that need it for conservation efforts. It's part of the larger Daisy Hill Conservation Park, so you can go see more of Australia's flora and fauna if you like. The koala centre gives you views of the koalas that you likely won't get elsewhere, and there's plenty of information and education available if you're keen to learn more.

There are plenty of fun things to do in Brisbane, even just wandering through the city, you're sure to find fun Brisbane activities.
