Marvels just made an announcement that James Gunn is set to direct and write the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 3. Gunn also posted the news on his Facebook page on Monday right before the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 went on press tour. Fans are also anticipating on who's going to play the Adam Warlock role in the third installment. Production is looking for actors to fit into such role.

Meanwhile, Gunn wrote on his page that after months of discussions, he finally knew the answer. He also thanked fans for sharing its support for the past five years. His return being the writer and director of the show's third installment basically moved him to tears, NSJ Online reported.

Some stars are returning on the vol.3 to reprise their roles. Christ Patt, Zoe Saldana, and David Bautista are among the stars in the list. It is also no longer a surprise when the official announcement came through Gunn's page. He has been known to be interactive with his fans in all matters.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" gained extremely high results recently and is expected to hit its weekend opening with box office sales of $150 million. Meanwhile, as to who will play Adam Warlock is not yet revealed. Some personalities like Travis Fimmel, Alexander Skarsgard, and Matthew McConaughey are among the options to fit in Warlock's role, Comic Book Movie Reported.

Fimmel is known for his consistent performance in "Ragnar Lothbrok" and he has features to consider that he is fit into any fantasy epics just like with "Warcraft" by Duncan Jones. Basically, he is also an ideal fit to Marvel's Cinematic Universe as Adam Warlock.

Skarsgard is also another actor which has a very successful TV career. He is one of the highlights of HBO's "True Blood." With his height of 6'3", he could probably bring a good stature to Adam Warlock's character. McConaughey is also another potential candidate on the list. He is also among the names rumored to portray this role.
