Harry Styles is currently enjoying the success of his first single, "Sign of the Times." The One Direction singer opened up about his young love Taylor Swift. He was 18 years old at that time and Styles described it as not a normal one.

The singer describes that when he looks at the photo he had with Swift taken at Central Park that found its way in the tabloids before, he remembered how awkward it was. He revealed that at 18, he did not understand how relationships work and as he navigates in the relationship, he has learned that it was not easy. But he admits that it was a learning experience as reported by Mirror.

Speculations surfaced that the short-lived romance has inspired Swift's hit songs "Style" and "Out of the Woods." Harry said that he is not aware if he was the inspiration behind the songs but was grateful if he has a role in creating them.

As for the relationship that did not work, he said, "Certain things don't work out." He added, "There's a lot of things that can be right, and it's still wrong. In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together. You're celebrating the fact it was powerful and made you feel something, rather than 'this didn't work out, and that's bad.'"

Hollywood Take reported that his recent ex has contributed to the newly-released album. Reportedly, he was referring to Kendall Jenner with whom he has also a brief romance. There was an attempt to reunite before in late 2015. They were spotted cruising together during their Anguilla vacation but nothing more was heard about them again.

The 23-year-old hitmaker said, "She's a huge part of the album." He revealed, "Sometimes you want to tip the hat, and sometimes you just want to give them the whole cap ... and hope they know it's just for them."

Harry Styles has been single for quite some time now. He said that he spent his time working on his album after he finished filming "Dunkirk." He added that he is looking forward to meeting "the girl" in the near future.
