The "19 Kids and Counting" couple Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar is headlining news again after Michelle shared a photo of her children riding their bikes without helmets. The Facebook page was filled with comments slamming the couple for endangering the lives of their children.

The couple has an unconventional way of rearing their children. This has caught the attention of TLC people and they were featured in a reality show. It was canceled after their eldest son Josh was involved in a scandal. But despite the cancellation, their family continues to be in close scrutiny of fans and detractors alike.

Many pointed out that the children were riding their bikes on a rough and rocky road not wearing helmets according to The Hollywood Gossip. One user wrote, "No helmets? Serious falls can occur in dirt roads as well." Another one commented, "Looks great! Looks like they forgot their helmets though."

Other users justified the post saying that "there may be a good reason why the girls in the photo are standing beside their bikes instead of riding them." Some commented on the dresses of the girls which were seen as more dangerous than pedaling without helmets.

The Duggar girl's dress code imposed by their mother has always been an issue. They were required to wear decent clothes with no much skin exposed for modesty and decency. Michelle Duggar is a Bible-believing Christian and this practice is a command in the Holy Book. However, this has been criticized by some observers.

This is one of the downsides of being in the spotlight after they were featured in a reality show. The show that replaced the shelved one is somehow a continuation of the canceled show because it continues to feature the whole Duggar family.

Cafe Mom reported that there was one mother who wrote, "I can see many rocks on the dirt road which won't be good to land on if someone falls. I don't care if my kids are riding bikes on clouds, they will be wearing helmets." The source further wrote about the concerns of some moms that allowing the kids to ride with no helmets will be a precedent of future rides with no helmets as they were allowed to do so once. Another one said that since the Duggars inspire many parents, they may allow their kids to do the same.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar did not respond to all the comments yet. Stay tuned for more Duggar family news and updates on "Counting On."
