Beyonce gave the performance of a lifetime at the Super Bowl halftime show today. The 47th annual superbowl on Feb. 3 in New Orleans gave way to the epic halftime show featuring Beyonce and welcomed in special guests Destiny's Child. At the amazement and excitement of Destiny's Child fans around the country the trio reunited for the special show.

Beyonce, clad in a sexy black leather and lace onepiece rocked it and sang a medley of songs including "Crazy In Love," "Baby Boy," and "End of Time," before Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams came on stage donned in similar black leather outfits. They trio sang hits, "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women" before they sang Beyonce's hit "Single Ladies."

Then Rowland and Williams left the stage and Beyonce sang "Single Ladies" and "Halo" by herself.

"Early in the set, she threw her jacket into the audience. At some point, she used a screen that recalled her 2011 Billboard Music Awards performance," said The Huffington Post.

Right after the halftime show, the game had an unprecedented mishap where half the power has gone out in the stadium, 27 minutes and counting. Superbowl commentators confirmed live that it was an outside source that is responsible for the power outage. They are currently working on getting the power back up and running so the game can continue.

Before the game, Jennifer Hudson sang a heartfelt "America the Beautiful" with the children from Sandy Hook Elementary School. Alicia Keys then came on and performed a beautiful rendition of the national anthem while seated, playing the piano in iconic Key's fashion.

Last year Madonna starred in the halftime show and was joined by M.I.A, LMFAO and Nicki Minaj.

"The show was perhaps most notable for M.I.A.'s decision to give the middle finger to the camera, and the 114 million people who were watching at home. Given its massive viewership (3 million more people watched the halftime show than the game itself), headlining the event often translates into a sizable increase in sales of the performer's music," reported The Huffington Post.

Other musical performances that have graced the Superbowl stage include, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Gloria Estefan, Ella Fitzgerald and the notorious Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson performance where Jackson's nipple was famously flashed.
