"Big Little Lies' season 1 finale episode "You Get What You Need" paved the end of the drama that was based on the novel of Lianne Moriarty. Such season ending made all viewers of the HBO limited hit series shocked and satisfied on how it went on. However, as part of its season 1 finale, many are still finding answers whether there will be a season 2 or not.

According to the showrunner David E. Kelley, the series was only made a one-time series and a stand-alone story. The director of the show, Jean-Marc Vallee also revealed that season 2 couldn't possibly happen anymore. Despite the news, the series actresses who made the show shine on HBO still didn't shut down the possibility that one day, the story will still continue, Thrillist reported.

One of the series actresses, Nicole Kidman, said in an interview that as of now, there is certainly nothing that has been talked about the possibility of season 2 airing. However, she also added that the series did some moving scenes and it would be impossible for the series creator not to have it all again. The actress then emphasized that for now, the series future is still uncertain, however, they can still see that there will be season 2 plots to come.

As per Columbian, the "Big Little Lies" ended into a more vague note. The director also told the reporters that such open-ended ending will certainly invite for debate whether season 2 will come or not. They certainly made such ending that will definitely make the audience talk about something. Vallee also added that they are no longer giving the viewers the second season since they wanted it to end as good as it is.

As for now, the best thing that fans need to do is to wait for some updates and not to close the possibility for "Big Little Lies" story to still happen again.
