"Dumbo" live-action is one of Disney's biggest film remakes that tell the story about a young circus elephant who discovers his ability to fly. It is the aim of Disney to redo its classic films into something that will give excitement to the new generations of theater lovers. "Dumbo" was one of the latest announcements they revealed.

Basically, the film was originally released on 1941. This is one of the shortest films that Disney ever had. It only runs for 64 minutes. The film was directed by Tim Burton and it was through his ideas that people will really believe that elephants can definitely fly, Movie Pilot reported.

The production is expected to start filming soon. They are now planning for the castings and among the rumored actors to play a major role is Michael Keaton. He is said to represent a villainous character on this upcoming movie remake. Though it wasn't yet confirmed, it is expected for Keaton to play the character of Vandemere who is the cruel owner of the circus.

He will be handling the small circus which will also include Dumbo. His character will only purely see money out of Dumbo's potential. The actor has also appeared in some other films like "The Founder", "Spotlight" and the "Birdmand", Broadway World reported.

Further, some other stars who will join the cast will be Eva Green. She is said to play a role of a French trapeze artist named Colette. Colin Farrell is also in the talks to be part of the cast. He'll be playing Holt who is a widowed father from Kentucky. His children will fall in love to this flappy-eared elephant.

Meanwhile, while Burton is set to direct the live-action remake, the movie script will be written by the "Transformers" series screenwriter Ehren Kruger. Accordingly, this Disney live-action remake is set to begin production this month.
