Apple is announcing its plans of releasing new "pro iMac" with pro display. Through a statement given by the Apple's SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, the company is telling its professional customers that they are still here to provide their needs.

The iPhone maker revealed that they have big plans for "iMac." This will start by making configurations of "iMac" and with their values for customers in mind. Initiating with this news, however, Apple isn't revealing yet the expounded plans of doing the said configuration. One thing is sure about this configuration, that it will not include touchscreen features anymore.

According to Schiller in an interview with Buzzfeed News, their pro users are not that attracted on the touchscreen feature because it is not on the list of things that they are interested in talking about. Schiller added that instead the pro users of Apple products are more indulged in the device's performance, storage and expandability.

The admission of Apple's SVP about the eradication of touchscreen features of "iMac" opposes Apple's offbeat choice of including Touch Bar feature on its latest high-end "MacBook Pro" models. Some complaint coming from the professionals aroused about MacBook's poor battery life and performance. They also complained about the lack of traditional USB expansion port. It seems like the three main issues of the professionals about performance, storage and expandability are not only for iMac but for MacBook Pro users too.

Craig Federigni, Apple's SVP of software engineering stated that over the past decade, "iMac" has seen an implausible advancement. He also added that the original iMac wasn't imagined to be using the touch pro but now having a 5K "iMac" in its top configuration is incredibly powerful. Though iMac is visualized as consumer's computer, with each refresh, the Apple is making it more powerful than ever.

Official statement from Apple regarding the iMac's debut is not yet published but the company has by tradition refreshed its desktop computers until the end of the year. Reported on Daring Fireball, Apple claimed that "iMac" is the most popular desktop for their professional audience. It placed iMac above the Mac Pro but below the range of "MacBook Pro" notebooks, says The Verge.
