After nearly eight years in the shelves "Prison Break" season 5 will premiere this week on Fox. The show which suffered in the rating with its final two seasons, it is back with renewed vigor. Michael, Lincoln, Sara, T-Bag, C-Note, Sucre, and Kellerman will again reprise their roles.

According to Blasting News, there will be new faces this season. Mark Feuerstein will play Sara's new beau after Michael "died" in season 4. Michael's supposed to be death has caused a tremendous grief to Sarah but Mark's character will appease her gloom.

There are other additions to add color to season 5. British actor Augustus Prew and Inbar Lavi were signed in to play important roles. Prew will play the role of Whipe and Lavi will play Sheba who is described as "a tough Yemeni activist."

It was already revealed that Michael is not actually dead and is currently serving time in a prison in Yemen. True to our current period, the country is on the brink of civil war.

According to First Post, Michael is accused of being a terrorist in league with the Islamic State. Given the title, "Prison Break" season 5 will reverse the brother's role with Lincoln now hatching a rescue plan for his brother.

There will be fewer flashbacks and mentions from the previous four seasons. The series itself essentially ended with Lincoln's escape.

The show is technically based on a new story in the same timeline because Michael is now in prison. With gap spanning nearly a decade, the producers have to start with a whole new slate.

Fox CEO Dana Walden stated that the season will give "a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world." And they just brought a man back to life.

"Prison Break" season 5 will air on Fox at 9 p.m. ET April 4. The series has also been confirmed with nine episodes and will air every Tuesday at the same time slot.
