"Westworld" season 2 is one of the most awaited series of HBO. The season 1 finale made a huge hit and it was considered as the best television series of 2016. The series was able to set the standard high and fans are expecting more for its upcoming season 2.

For the numerous fans of robotics and Indian tales, hearing a confirmation from HBO that season 2 is happening in autumn, is definitely an icing to the cake. It was made official by the HBO Programming President himself, Casey Bloys that "Westworld" season 2 is now set for renewal, Den of Geek reported.

This must be a total relief for HBO considering the fact that some of its series were getting lesser views. As per Bloys, it would be fantastic for them to have broad-based cultural show and good ratings to build from. For him, it would be a great luxury.

Apparently, fans should expect that the season 2 will have more of its time-bending narration and most of the viewers will feel that the world from season 1 will definitely turn upside-down. It is also revealed by Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy that the series will not be taking place immediately after Robert Ford was killed by Dolores.

As per Cinema Blend, "Westworld" season 2 productions added that they are not going to pick up the story from where they had left off. This simply means that fans should expect a different twist this time. This seemed to be a smart decision for them to make in order to fast forward the hurtful incident which had happened in season 1.

Further, executive producers of the series are still tight-lipped of all the major events that might possibly take place in season 2. Meanwhile, as to when the season 2 will air, Bloys won't expect a second season until 2018. For now, fans will need to wait for a long time.
