SemiRestore is a tool that lets you restore your jailbroken device to a clean slate without losing your jailbreak. The tool which is developed by CoolStar has become a very popular jailbreak package for iOS owners as it allows you to restore your iPhone to near stock condition, and the process is significantly easy.

According to ValueWalk, SemiRestore just released a new update and it allows users to restore iOS 10 to 10.2. The SemiRestore Lite restores your device to the latest jailbreakable firmware, and it enables users to execute commands directly from your device itself - meaning you do not need to be connected to a computer.

iOS Hacker said that SemiRestore Lite consists of an executable file that needs to be restore on an iOS device. After the file is on your iPhone, you can now run it from the Mobile Terminal app. The tool removes all Cydia packages upon execution, which includes tweaks and other jailbreak related stuff. It also won't lose any important data like photos, videos, or contacts.

To use, you must first verify that the MTerminal is installed on your device. If its not accessible, simply aunch Cydia and search for MTerminal app and then install it on your device. Also, make sure that your iOS device has a file manager app like iFile or Filza, because this lets you communicate with your phone's internal file system. After this, you can now download the SemiRestore10-Lite app.

Remember that if something goes wrong, you may have to restore your device using iTunes, which would cause it to lose the jailbreak. For people who are having issues because of tweaks installed from Cydia, the SemiRestore Lite is for you. It gets rid of the issues; however, if you want to remove the jailbreak entirely, you may try using Cydia Eraser instead.
