"A Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket was one of the fortunate series which was renewed for season 2 by Netflix. The series had its first premiere in January and for many times, it drew a lot of good praises. For many, the show was kind of weird yet a wonderful masterpiece.

As per Variety, the renewal of the series was announced through social media platforms. There was a letter posted on a certain website by the fictional Snicket which clearly states that the production team will be working again for the new episodes to come. And this is something Snicket wanted to address to the viewers of the show.

This TV series was based on "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" chronicles. It was known as an international and award-winning book of Snicket's time. This features the raging lives of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire after their parents met their untimely death.

After the death of their parents, these children were handled by their distant relative named Count Olaf. He portrays a mysterious figure in the series. He was known to be seeking for fortune by stealing the inheritance of these children.

Unfortunately, his devil plans will be revealed soon just before he'll able to do it. He will be employing numbers of bizarre people that will help him go near the children. Further, these children will also learn to dodge the attempt of Count Olaf in stealing their inheritance and along the way, they'll be able to learn new things about their parents, Deadline reported.

The series was created by Lemony Snicket and which was penned by Daniel Handler. The series was also produced by Handler and Barry Sonnenfeld, an Emmy winner. "A Series of Unfortunate Events" season 2 is set to center stars like Todd Freeman, Joan Cusack, Alfre Woodard, Catherine O'hara, Aasif Mandvi, and Don Johnson.
